Ibiza Guides
Ibiza from Zodiac Apartments
Your holiday, with room to discover Ibiza
Practical guides to plan beach days, village visits, evenings out and five- or seven-day stays. Start in Es Canar, on the east coast, and organise each trip at your own pace.

Santa Eulalia guide
Spend a day in Santa Eulària des Riu combining its town centre, seafront and heritage. This is a day-trip suggestion from Es Canar, particularly if you want to alternate beach days with a town walk.
- Morning: start at Passeig de s’Alamera and continue along the seafront promenade. If the market is open, leave time to browse the crafts.
- Lunchtime: choose a restaurant in the centre or near the promenade and check the menu before sitting down.
- Afternoon: plan a visit up to Puig de Missa or follow the river and the old bridge. The climb is uphill; adapt your route to your mobility and the heat.
The Can Ros ethnographic museum offers an introduction to traditional Ibiza. Check opening times before planning an indoor visit. For a gentler day, stay around the promenade and town centre.
A tip from Zodiac: check your return transport before leaving Es Canar. Do not assume connections follow the same timetable throughout the year.

San Antonio guide
Sant Antoni de Portmany is on Ibiza’s west coast. You can visit on a day trip from Zodiac, which is in Es Canar on the east coast. These are different places: always use the full address when arranging your return.
- Start at the harbour: explore the seafront and town centre before deciding where to eat.
- Continue towards Ses Variades: this coastal promenade is a suggestion for watching the sunset.
- Extend your walk to Caló des Moro: a small beach beside the promenade, useful as a landscape stop. Space is limited, so adjust expectations on busy days.
If you want a terrace table for sunset, check reservations, minimum spending and prices directly with the venue. Sunset time changes with the date, and visibility depends on the weather.
Plan your return: compare a car, taxi and public transport before setting out. Allow for traffic and avoid fitting too many beaches around a fixed-time reservation.

Ibiza by day guide
Choose one area each day to enjoy Ibiza with fewer transfers. From Es Canar, start with local beaches and set aside other days for Eivissa, villages or the west coast.
A local day
Combine Es Canar and Cala Nova with time for lunch and a return to your apartment. If there are waves, swap swimming for a walk.
A cultural day
Visit Dalt Vila in Eivissa town and walk around La Marina. The walled area has slopes and cobbled streets: wear comfortable shoes and adapt the visit.
A village day
Combine Sant Carles with Las Dalias when its calendar allows. Check opening days before planning your route.
To explore other beaches, compare access, parking and sea conditions using the official beach information. Do not assume every beach offers the same services or that a photograph reflects conditions on your day.
Travelling with family: leave time for rest, carry water and choose routes suited to the group’s ages and mobility. If it rains, check museum opening times and replace your beach plan with a cultural visit.

Ibiza by night guide
An evening in Ibiza can mean dinner by the sea, a walk around Eivissa or a music event. Staying in Es Canar lets you choose which nights to spend in other areas and which to enjoy locally.
- A quiet evening: dine in Es Canar or Santa Eulalia and check return transport if you leave the local area.
- A town evening: combine a visit to Eivissa with dinner around La Marina. If you explore Dalt Vila, allow time for hills and walking.
- Music and events: choose your date first and check the venue’s official calendar. A famous venue does not guarantee a particular event during your stay.
For open-air parties, Ushuaïa Ibiza publishes its official programme; many events begin in the afternoon. For plans in Sant Carles, check the Las Dalias calendar. Timings, opening dates and tickets change with the season.
These are independent outings; tickets and transport are not included in your Zodiac stay.
5 days in Ibiza guide
This is an editorial itinerary suggestion for five days based at Zodiac Apartments. Change the order to suit flights, weather and market opening dates; it is not a booked excursion or a programme with transport included.
- Day 1 · Arrival and Es Canar. Settle in, buy essentials and explore the harbour and beach. Avoid a long excursion on your arrival day.
- Day 2 · Cala Nova. Spend the day at the beach with a seaside meal. Check flags before swimming.
- Day 3 · Santa Eulalia. Combine the seafront and centre with Puig de Missa or the river route according to your mobility.
- Day 4 · Eivissa. Visit Dalt Vila and La Marina. Choose a cultural morning or afternoon and allow time for transport.
- Day 5 · Your choice. Punta Arabí market if it is an open Wednesday, Sant Carles and Las Dalias according to the calendar, or a west-coast trip for sunset in Sant Antoni.
If day five is your departure day: replace the excursion with a local morning and allow time for the airport. If you prefer more rest, swap the Eivissa day for Cala Martina.
Without a car: check every journey and the last return connection before deciding on your plan. With children, avoid fitting a beach, a market and a distant sunset into one day.

7 days in Ibiza guide
With a week you can alternate excursions and rest without changing accommodation. This plan uses Zodiac Apartments in Es Canar as a base and groups visits by area. Adapt the days to the full days you have available.
- Day 1 · Welcome to Es Canar. Buy essentials, take a local walk and enjoy your accommodation.
- Day 2 · Cala Nova. Beach time and lunch with views, according to sea conditions.
- Day 3 · Santa Eulalia. Town centre, seafront and heritage; adapt the climb to Puig de Missa to your mobility.
- Day 4 · Sant Carles and markets. Check the Las Dalias calendar. If your dates suit Punta Arabí, swap this day with a local day.
- Day 5 · Eivissa and Dalt Vila. Spend the day exploring the town, its streets and La Marina. Reserve dinner if you want to extend your visit.
- Day 6 · West coast. Choose a beach such as Cala Bassa or Platges de Comte and, if you wish, sunset in Sant Antoni. Check access and conditions before leaving and allow time between stops.
- Day 7 · Rest and farewell. Cala Martina, terrace time and a day without long journeys. If you fly that day, prioritise your departure arrangements.
Would you like a music night? Replace a dinner with an event from the Ibiza by night guide and leave the next day for a relaxed plan.
A week without a car: keep the local days and adapt excursions to verified connections or taxis. You do not need to visit every area to enjoy the island.
For the west-coast day, check the official beach guide. All itineraries on this page are flexible suggestions, not services included with your booking.
Sunset guide
For the sun setting over the sea, plan an afternoon on Ibiza’s west coast. Zodiac Apartments is in Es Canar, on the east coast: Mediterranean views are part of your stay, but they are different from watching the sun set over the western horizon.
Ses Variades and Caló des Moro
The Ses Variades promenade in Sant Antoni de Portmany combines a seaside walk with sunset views. Caló des Moro can be another stop along the way. Choose a public spot on the promenade, or check reservations and prices directly if you prefer a terrace.
Plan an unhurried afternoon
- Check the sunset time for your visit and arrive with time to spare.
- Check the weather forecast: clouds and visibility affect the experience.
- Arrange transport back to Es Canar before leaving. Daytime schedules do not guarantee a service after sunset.
- Bring water and comfortable shoes, and use marked paths and access points.
A simple plan is to walk around Sant Antoni harbour, continue towards Ses Variades and have dinner afterwards, keeping your return journey in mind. With children, avoid adding too many stops that day.

Food guide
Discovering Ibiza also means tasting its food. From Zodiac Apartments, you can combine meals in Es Canar, a trip to Cala Nova and a food-focused visit to Santa Eulalia or Ibiza Town, without filling every day with journeys.
What to try in Ibiza
- Bullit de peix: one of the island’s traditional fish dishes, commonly served with arroz a banda.
- Sofrit pagès: a traditional dish rooted in Ibiza’s rural cooking.
- Flaó: a cheesecake flavoured with mint, a good introduction to local desserts.
- Greixonera: another traditional dessert to look for on menus.
A meal at Cala Nova
Aiyanna Ibiza is an option to check if you would like to eat beside Cala Nova beach. Check the menu, prices, opening dates and availability directly with the restaurant before planning your visit.
How to choose where to eat
In Es Canar and Santa Eulalia, compare menus and choose according to your budget, preferences and group’s needs. If you want a particular dish, ask before booking: menus can change with the season. Discuss allergies or dietary requirements directly with the venue.
Your apartment’s kitchen lets you combine eating out with breakfasts and meals at your own pace. Ask reception for ideas during your stay, and confirm opening times and reservations with each business.

Zodiac Apartments is at Avenida Punta Arabí 65, Es Canar, in Santa Eulària des Riu. Our family has welcomed guests since 1965; the third generation now looks after this Mediterranean setting. Studios and apartments offer kitchens and sea views.
